CAELUM – Celesta Plugin VST3 / AU
The Magical Sound Of A Japanese Celesta
Sampled from a rare Japanese celesta using high-end Schoeps microphones, CAELUM captures the instrument's delicate, bell-like sound in great detail. Multiple round robins, release samples and optional mechanical noises preserve the character of the original instrument.
Wide Range Of Tonal Possibilities
A range of carefully designed controls allows you to create anything from a traditional celesta sound to darker, more mysterious tones. Additional "Chime" (glockenspiel) and "Fairydust" (music box) layers open up even more tonal possibilities.
Cinematic Features
Reverse and bloom effects transform the celesta into soft and dreamy pads, making it suitable for film scoring, ambient music and fantasy games.
Mechanical And Performance Noises
Mechanical noises can be added to make the instrument feel even more real. Performance noises such as the squeaking of the piano bench, the breathing of the pianist or the rustling of clothes can also be adjusted to taste.

A Rare Japanese Celesta
CAELUM was created from a rare Japanese celesta, an instrument with a magical, bell-like sound unlike any other keyboard instrument.
Many people know the celesta from Tchaikovsky's Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Harry Potter films or Christmas music, but it is equally associated with whimsical fairy tales, ghost stories and nostalgic Halloween soundtracks.
Recorded In Great Detail
CAELUM was recorded using high-end Schoeps microphones, capturing every note, release and mechanical detail of the instrument.
Multiple round robins, release samples and optional mechanical and performance noises preserve the natural playing experience and prevent the repetitive feel often associated with sampled instruments.
The result is a celesta that feels raw, organic and inspiring to play.
Magical, Whimsical & Nostalgic
CAELUM can sound like a traditional orchestral celesta, but it can also go far beyond that. Additional Chime and Fairydust layers, reverse notes and bloom effect allow you to create everything from sparkling Christmas melodies to enchanted, dreamy ambient soundscapes and spooky Halloween tracks.
Designed Like An Old Fairy Tale Book
CAELUM's interface was designed like an old, magical fairy tale book – atmospheric and inspirational.
Behind the minimal main interface with only four knobs lies a second page filled with detailed controls for resonance, mechanical and performance noise, reverb, dynamics, and cinematic effects.
The goal was not to create a technical-looking plugin, but an instrument that feels beautiful and inspiring. Something closer to opening a magical, forgotten book than operating software.

“The celesta is one of those rare instruments that immediately transports you into another world, full of magic.”
